INTRODUCTIONS. And getting shit done.
Good morning, my crafty humans. I’m going to assume you don’t know me and my unique brand of get’er done-edness, so let me give you a brief introduction. I’m Juli. I live on a small plot of land in VA. I am homeschooling my 2 teens, both of which have to eat gluten free, and one is a type 1 diabetic. I have 19 animals in my care, a house renovation underway and a million hobbies, but sadly not a million dollars.
I started crafting as a way to save money and my sanity. I have median taste, and our budget has never been able to keep up. Luckily, I was raised with a can do attitude and a mother who was fond of saying “make do with what you have, or do without.” I didn’t agree with either of those options, fully, so I decided to out stubborn my monetary restrictions and MAKE what I had into what I wanted. None of this making do, bullshit. I am not about that settling life.
Times changed, and my skills grew. People started asking me how I did things, or telling me that they were amazed by me. Well, news flash, I’m not amazing. I’m just one stubborn and oppositional human. If someone tells me I can’t do it, I’m going to figure out how exactly it can be done. If I want something I will usually try to make it first, so that I can get the best I can for the money. I will share my progress with you, here. And then you, too, can amaze your friends with your skills and fantastic taste.

So, wake and create, my friends. Find your passion for all things glitter and glue and do it up. We only have one life to live, and it may as well be full of skills learned, tasks completed, and homes filled with people and things that make us happy.
Today is the day to get something finished. Or started.
